Waimate High School has proudly served the Waimate area of South Canterbury, New Zealand since 1929. Five years ago, at Easter weekend the school celebrated its 75th Jubilee.
In the past 75 years we have built up a very fine record of academic, cultural and sporting achievements. Many of our ex-students have left our community and are now living and working in many different countries around the world. Most still keep in contact with their "old school".
Today, we are a decile 4 school of 385 Year 7 to 13 students.
