Have been in the teaching profession since 1977.
I have taught at Taieri High School (1997-1985)
I have taught at Timaru Boys High School (1986-1997) as head of Commerce
I am currently teaching at Waimate High School (1998 to present day) as Deputy Principal
Current Interests
Keen on golf
and look forward to my Saturday scramble Fishing and duckshooting. I own one boat and have a half share interest in another jet boat which is used mainly on the magnificent Waitaki River .
My wife Lyn and I own a 23 acre farmlet just North of Timaru. We have four children, two boys and two girls. The eldest two are working in the Accountancy area, one has just graduated in Science at Otago and our youngest is being educated at Timaru Boys (only because it is close to home).
Professional Interests
The Senior Management team has worked very hard at establishing and maintaining a safe school environment. A few years ago all staff were trained in the Eliminating Violence Programme and as a result a bullying protocol was established and is now firmly entrenched in the culture of the school. The Senior Management team works hard to ensure that any student with a bullying issue, will have it addressed and that they will be given feedback on the outcome.
