The Flat Gnome project that 8Ot is doing this year is a competition to see how many towns and cites we can send our 'flat gnome' to in a term. We send our gnome, along with a gnome journal, to our family and friends around New Zealand and the world. Some gnomes have made it to China, Australia and England to name a few.

When the gnome returns back to our class we read his journal to the class and find out about his amazing adventures. You better watch out around Waimate and New Zealand because you don't know when they'll turn up in your mail box.
